Gameplay
In this game, aliens have invaded the Earth to take it over. And you are a commander who will fight against them, stop their advancement, and defend your base & other locations. There are 50 levels for you to play and decide your strategy to stop the aliens.
Each level has a unique design, multiple entry points, one exit point, and predefined tower locations & paths. Waves of aliens will enter the base from the entry points and follow the path to leave the base through the exit point. You will need to build towers (which consumes energy) on the tower locations strategically depending on the incoming alien types.
On starting a level, you will get some energy to build towers and you can call the wave whenever you are ready. After that, your towers will automatically attack the aliens. You will get energy for killing aliens to build new towers or upgrade them. Also, a hero will join the battle and you can assign him anywhere on the base.
After the first wave, it will show the wave herald of the next wave. You can also call the wave early. It will also grant you some energy. Apart from the towers & heroes, there are also 4 types of boosters (which are one-time usable items) to get extra help.
When a certain number of aliens cross the exit point, you will lose the level. Clear all the waves without letting aliens cross the exit point to clear the level and you will get the stars depending on your difficulty & heart.
You can get up to 5 stars on a level: 3 in Campaign (Default) difficulty, 1 in Veteran, and 1 in Spec Ops difficulty. Each star you gain on a level will earn you 600 gold that you can use to upgrade your tower’s stats & unlock new in-level upgrades.
Weapons & Boosters
It has 4 types of weapons – Machine Gun, Infantry, Rocket, and Laser. The machine gun has a very high firing & turning rate, the cost is low, and targets a single enemy. The rocket deals high splash damage to a group of aliens but has a low firing & turning rate. Laser deals very high damage with its focused energy beam, thus, it’s very effective against aliens with shields. Lastly, the infantry. It’s a barrack that spawns some ground troops. The troops will attack the nearby aliens, slow them down, and also stop certain types of aliens.
You also have access to 4 types of boosters – Airstrikes to bombard the aliens with jets, Cyro-Bomb to freeze all the aliens for a short period, Reinforcement which drops a squad of ground troops anywhere on the battlefield you want, and lastly, Fusion Cells which gives you a certain amount of energy when used. You can upgrade all these weapons & boosters to increase their effects & stats, reduce the cooldown period, and unlock new in-level upgrades.
