Gameplay
In the Dead Cells APK game, you are a result of a failed alchemic experiment and thrown into a prison full of monsters & undead. You are a headless character who comes to life. You will explore the prison, castle, clock tower, and many other locations to escape and find out what happened. And you will face many types of undead, minions & monsters. Each one has a unique attack pattern. Learn them and use weapons or skills to kill them. You will also meet many characters that help you to unlock new weapons and upgrade them. Pick up scrolls to upgrade your stats. Each time you die, you will come back to life. But you will have to start from the beginning and it will not be the same as before. Levels change with each death and you will also lose some cells.
Controls
Dead Cells APK gameplay may be tricky with the changing levels with each death, but controls are very easy to understand. It has a movement pad on the left side of the screen. On the right side, it has Interact, jump & dash buttons, and 4 empty buttons. Two buttons are for weapons and two are for skills. When you pick weapons & skills, they are filled in these buttons. Tap on the button to use the desired weapon or skill. The Interact button is used to open gates, pick up items or talk to others. On the top right corner, you can see the mini-map. Tap it to open the full map. On the top left corner, there is your HP bar and HP potion button. Tap and hold the potion to use it & refill your HP. You can also enable auto-hit and swipe to dodge.
Equipment
There are mainly 3 types of equipment you use: Weapons, Skills & Amulets.
Weapons: Weapons are best at dealing great damage without cooldown effects in Dead Cells APK. Each weapon has a unique move set. You can pick up to 2 weapons. High-quality weapons deal special effects too like bleeding, knockback, stun, freezing, etc. Weapons are divided into 3 categories: melee, ranged, and shields. Choose any weapon types according to your playstyle.
Skills: Skills don’t have great damage like weapons, but are good at controlling enemies and affecting groups of enemies. In skills, there are bombs, turrets, traps, and special powers like a tornado, vampirism, knife dance, phaser, etc. Skills have a cooldown period so you have to wait before using them again. You can have a maximum of 2 skills.
Amulets: Amulets are the items that grant passive effects. You can equip only one amulet.
You can find the only unlocked items in the levels. Find blueprints in the chests or by defeating enemies to unlock new weapons & skills. When you find a blueprint, go to the collector and spend cells to unlock it.
Resources
In Dead Cells APK, there are mainly two main resources: gold and cells. Gold is used to buy items in the level and to upgrade the weapons & skills. You can collect gold by killing enemies and opening chests. Cells are used to unlock new weapons and skills. Cells are also needed to upgrade the power level of the weapons.
