Kingdom Rush Vengeance is a tower defense strategy game offered by Ironhide Games. The Great Evil Wizard Vez’nan is resurrected and is to sit on the throne of his castle. But the castle is overtaken by the elves & dwarves and turned into an amusement park. Deploy your dark forces of goblins, wizards, mummies & monsters to take back your castle.
Overview of Kingdom Rush Vengeance
Gameplay
Kingdom Rush Vengeance is a tower-defense (TD) game. You will fight the incoming waves of enemies by placing the towers in predetermined positions. The enemies will follow a predefined path. You can use heroes, specials & spells to stop them from crossing the path. There will be multiple waves in every stage. You can see the current and total number of waves on the top left corner of the screen. You will get the gold by killing each enemy. On completing the stage, you will get souls. With the souls, you can upgrade the soul powers that grant a permanent boost to various attributes like explosion range, HP of certain troops, etc.
Towers
There are 18 amazing towers to place with multiple unique skills & abilities. You can take up to 5 towers in stages. Upgrade the towers to increase their HP and ATK Power. It also unlocks their skills to use during the fights. There are some towers that summon troops. These towers have a range. In this range, you can deploy those troops at any position. They are good to hold the incoming enemies from going forward.
Heroes
Use 13 Legendary heroes in the battles with elves and dwarves. Each hero has an ability and five skills. You can upgrade your skills to increase the effects. Take and engage the hero in the battles to earn hero XP and upgrade their level. On reaching a new level, you will get hero points that are required to unlock & upgrade the skills. On the stage, you can tap on the hero and then at any position to move the hero there. Heroes can respawn after a limited-time period if they die.
Specials & Spells
You have 3 specials: Demon Goonies, Goblin Gang & Soul Impact. You can use these specials without using gold. Each special has a cooldown period to use it again. Demon Goonies & Goblin Gang summons 2 goonies & goblins respectively that will fight with the enemies. Soul impact is a spell that strikes the enemies with lightning three times. There are also 10 power-up spells. You can take upto 3 power-up spells. These are single-use spells. You have to buy these with gems.
Game Modes
There are three game modes you can play: Campaign, Heroic Challenge & Iron Challenge. You can choose the difficulty level from casual to the veteran in each mode.
Campaign – In the Campaign, you have 20 hearts and no restriction about using towers.
Heroic Challenge – Heroic challenge can only be unlocked by completing the stage in campaign mode. In this mode, you have only 1 heart and elite enemies will come in 6 waves.
Iron Challenge – It’s also unlocked after completing the stage in campaign mode. You will only have 1 heart. You will face one elite enemy’s wave. But you can only use the predetermined towers.
