Overview of Worms Zone .io
In Worms Zone.io, you will play as a worm. You will spawn in a largely closed zone. There will be other player worms too up to 150. You have to eat as much food as you can. Food will appear in the zone over and over again. Your worm size and score will increase as you eat food. To control your worm, drag your thumb on the screen and then tap with another thumb to increase your worm’s speed. But when you use a boost, you will lose your score as well as size over time.
If you touch any other worm, you will die. And if other worms touch you, they will die and convert into food. You can customize your worm appearance, eyes, mouth, and color. There are many amazing skills.
Game Modes
There are two modes. Both game modes have the same gameplay.
Infinity Mode
Infinity mode is the endless mode. You can play as long as you don’t touch any other worm. Eat food, grow bigger, trap small worms, or just wander in the zone eating all the food.
Time Mode
In the time mode, a match lasts for seven minutes. And the score you get from eating and power-ups is increased by 2. When the time runs out, you will get two choices, to go to the home screen or play again with the same score by using gold coins.
Power-ups
Along with the food, you will also find 6 types of power-ups.. Power-ups grant your special powers for a limited period of time. The power-ups are as follows:
Magnet – When you pick the magnet power-up, it attracts all the nearby food.
Multiplier – During the multiplier duration, you will 5x score from all the food and power-ups.
Radar – On the mini-map, you can only see white dots that show the location of food. With radar power-up, you can also see the location of other players’ death. Those locations are marked with red dots on the mini-map.
Speed – These power-ups increase your movement speed for a limited duration.
Maneuverability – When your size increases so much, it’s hard to change the directions. With this power-up, the direction-changing speed increases that allow you to dodge enemies.
View – With the view power-up, the zone zooms out. You can see a large area with its help.
