Temple Run 2 is an endless running, action game offered by Imangi Studios. It has more than five hundred million downloads on the play store. It’s not like other endless running games with just three lanes. It also has tilt action, turns, minecarts, ropes, hot-air balloons, lakes, power-ups, characters with abilities, and many maps with different dangers & obstacles.

Gameplay of Temple Run 2
In Temple Run 2, your character picks a golden idol from an ancient temple. As he picks the idol, a large beast gorilla runs after him to devour him. He runs to escape the temple and you have to help him. The controls are simple. Tilt the device left or right to move the character to the respective side of the path to collect the coins or avoid obstacles. Swipe up to jump, swipe to slide, and swipe left or right to turn in the left or right direction. You can pick power-ups on the way to score more. If you collide with obstacles, fall down from the cliff, or into the water, that will be the game over for you. Avoid obstacles and run as long as you can in this endless running game.
Power-ups & Abilities
There are many power-ups you can find on the way that grant special powers for a limited time. You can pick Magnet, Shield, and Boost. The magnet attracts all the coins on the way so you don’t have to tilt or jump to collect the coins. The shield protects you from obstacles. And lastly, Boost, when it’s active, you don’t have to do anything. Your character will turn and cross all the obstacles automatically. Even the broken path will be covered with a green path. You can upgrade these power-ups to increase the duration. Any of these power-ups can also be used manually after the energy bar is filled completely. But you have to take it as your character’s ability. There are abilities too like double coins after a certain distance, reduced gem cost to save me, decrease power-up spawn time, etc.
Characters
There are many characters you can play as. Run as Scarlet Fox, Maria Selva, Zack Wonder, or Karma Lee. There are a total of 16 characters. You can unlock them by collecting their tokens or by buying them with gems and money. You can also change their outfits. Also, you can select any one power for your character. You can use this power anytime manually after the energy bar is filled.
Maps
10 awesome maps are included in it. Each map has an awesome environment. But you can play only 2 maps for free. To play on other maps, you have to unlock them. Some can be unlocked with gems and others can only be bought with real money. Each map has different types of obstacles.
Resource
Gems and Coins are the resources in this game. Gems can be used to buy maps & characters. You can also use gems after a collision to run again without resetting the score. There are three types of coins: Gold, red and blue coins. A gold coin’s worth is one, a red coin’s worth is two and a blue coin is equal to three coins. Coins are used to upgrade abilities. And collecting coins while running also fills the energy bar.
