Warplanes: WW2 Dogfight is an action-packed, aerial combat game offered by Home Net Games where you will control historical military aircraft & fight against other military forces. Gameplay
When you start the game, you can choose to play as a pilot or a squadron leader, and then a faction out of 5 – RAF, Luftwaffe, Soviet Air Forces, American, or Japanese. Each of these factions has different types of planes that were used during World War 2. The missions will be the same regardless of game mode and factions.
In pilot and squadron game modes, you will be sent on various types of missions such as offensive, defensive & naval missions. You can choose to go solo or select other planes to assist you. When on the mission, you will have to complete the given objectives like destroying enemy planes, AA defenses, bomber planes, navy ships, etc.
Enemies will not sit still. They will target you and try to shoot you down using their warplanes, AA cannons, barrage balloons, etc. Control your plane, aim at the enemy planes or defenses, and then use the machine guns & cannons to shoot them down. If your selected plane has bombs, drop them on the ground units for massive damage.
Once you complete all the objectives, you can end the mission or keep playing to complete the side objectives for more rewards. On completing the mission, you will get rewards such as silver, gold, medals, fuel, etc. depending on the game mode.
Be a Pilot or Squadron Leader
In its offline mode, it has two game modes – Pilot and Squadron Leader. In the pilot mode, you will only get missions to complete. You can buy planes, upgrade them and go on missions.
While in squadron leader mode, you will also have to manage your base. There will be crew members who will work at the base, pilots who will fly other planes, AA cannons to shoot down enemy planes, barrage balloons to destroy the enemy bombers, hangers to store the planes, fuel tanks to store the fuel, tents where the pilots will rest after the mission, and workshop where mechanics will repair the planes.
It will cost a certain amount of silvers to operate the base daily depending on the number of crew members, pilots, and planes you have at your base. Also, you can train your pilots to increase their piloting & shooting skills, and upgrade the planes to increase their engine power, plane handling, armor, machine gun cooling, and other attributes.
