Gameplay
This game has idle gameplay where you will choose a wizard with 6 different spells of 2 different elements. He will automatically shoot at incoming enemies. He will also move around the map automatically. But if you want to manually move him, you can either use the virtual joystick for controlling the wizard or tap anywhere on the screen to move the wizard there.
You can select up to 4 different spells that the wizard will use to kill the enemies. On killing the enemies, you will get souls and gold. Gold is used to research to gain various buffs like more damage, more HP, more souls from enemies, etc. When you die and rewind, souls transform into your power which increases the damage to enemies.
To clear a wave, you will have to kill all the enemies. But clearing a wave will not stop the enemies from coming. It will start the next wave with stronger & new types of enemies. On clearing certain waves, new content will unlock such as staff of knowledge, rune bag, obelisk shard, the great mirror, spyglass, etc.
From time to time, chests will appear on the map which contains random resources such as time shards, XP, gold, HP, etc. You can pick them up for bonus resources worth minutes or hours of gameplay.
Level Up Staff of Knowledge & Acquire New Perks
The staff your wizard uses is an intelligent weapon. It collects XP over time and upgrades itself upon collecting a certain amount of XP. With each level, it grants you a spell perk and also increases the damage by 1.05x permanently. The rate at which it collects XP depends on the highest wave you have ever cleared. You can also increase the rate by conducting analytic absorption research.
Kindle The Chronoshere & Enter a New Era
It has time shards that allow you to kindle the chronoshpere and enter a new era. Doing so unlocks a ton of new content and also gives you amazing rewards. Your maximum awakening rank also increases on kindling. Usually, it takes so many days to collect time shards for kindling, but you can increase the rate of earning by completing achievements, fates, and awakening the wizard to max rank.
Conduct Research & Gain Various Bonuses
To gain various bonuses, you can conduct five types of research in this game – Focus, Fortification, Soul Siphoning, Analytic Absorption, and Arcane Sensibilities. Conducting these researches increases damage, HP, souls on killing enemies, XP gain, and decreases enchanting requirement respectively. You will need gold to conduct any research and The cost and completion time will keep increasing with each research. To finish any research early, you can fund it using more gold.
